Back in 2008 I remember this guy from Finland showing up to Malaga dripping head to toe in full factory #POCSPORTS riding kit. @LeoKokkonen was new to mountain biking and his visit to #SwitchbacksDH was his first mountain bike holiday abroad. Fast forward to 2022 and the story continues. When one talks about Leo, you hear many differing opinions but there is no denying how his vision of exactly what a mountain bike can be, has changed the landscape of #mtb design and especially geometry forever. His concept of combining an XC geo´d back end for superb climbing and DH angles on the front for controlled descending, is one that every mtb manufacture is trying to copy. To say that @Polebicycles has changed the mountain biking industry forever is an understatement. Likewise it is equally true to say that the original prototype, the Laki, was designed here and with the terrain of Malaga at its heart. Today the journey has continued and Leo has just landed with the latest in Pole weapons – the 190mm #Vikkela #Enduro bike. To say that we here at Switchbacks are proud to be part of this paradigm shift in mountain biking history, is of course humbling and an honour. We look forward to the next 15 years of cooperation and design development with Leo and Pole Bicycles.
