Spanish authorities are clamping down on illegal companies in Malaga.
If a rider is caught riding with an illegal cycling company – ie one without a Spanish guiding registration number, your bike will be confiscated and a fine of up to 5000€ levied. To be sure that the company is question has the required qualifications, they must have a AT/ (Active Tourism) number such as Switchback’s. Without this all other forms of guiding qualifications from the UK are invalid and you’ll be fined accordingly. Why take the risk, just book legal.
